The Heading will be set in that layout file-->\n\n  \n    \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n            <ul>\n\t<li><a href=\"#individual\">Setting up individual traders<\/a><\/li>\n\t<li><a href=\"#portfolio\">Setting up groups of traders (portfolios)<\/a><\/li>\n\t<li><a href=\"#key\">Creating a new Coinbase API key<\/a><\/li>\n\t<li><a href=\"#secret-passphrase\">Creating the API secret and passphrase<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>After your Coinbase account is created at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coinbase.com\/Exchange\">www.coinbase.com<\/a> (<b>Businesses<\/b> &gt; <b>Exchange<\/b>), sign in and set up the following credentials required for connecting to Coinbase via the TT platform:<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>API key<\/li>\n\t<li>API secret<\/li>\n\t<li>Passphrase<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"img-responsive\" src=\"https:\/\/library-staging.tradingtechnologies.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/cb-coinbase-website-2-1.png\"> \n<\/p>\n\n<p>After users in your firm create a Coinbase wallet and fund their Coinbase account, they can create an API key, API secret, and passphrase that they&#8217;ll need for their trader IDs on TT.<\/p>\n\n<p>If you trade for yourself and have full administrator permissions in TT, you&#8217;ll be able to create your own Coinbase credentials for your Coinbase account and assign them in TT using the <b>Trader IDs<\/b> tab in the left navigation panel.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> Multiple API keys and secrets can be created for a single Coinbase account.<\/p>\n\n<p>If you are a Risk or Operations Administrator, you can <a href=\"\/user-setup\/cb-configuring-user-access-to-coinbase.html\">set up a member of your trading firm<\/a> with a Trader ID in TT and use one of the following accounts:<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>their own Coinbase account<\/li>\n\t<li>a shared Coinbase account (portfolio)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 id=\"individual\">Setting up individual traders<\/h2>\n\n<p>If you are setting up Traders to trade using their own Coinbase accounts, ensure that you have each user&#8217;s Coinbase credentials in order to configure their connection to Coinbase:<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>API key<\/li>\n\t<li>API secret<\/li>\n\t<li>Passphrase<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 id=\"portfolio\">Setting up groups of traders (portfolios)<\/h2>\n\n<p>If you are setting up a group of traders to use the same Coinbase account, you can create a portfolio for the group. The first step is to create a New API Key.<\/p>\n\n<p>To create a Coinbase API key:<\/p>\n\n<ol>\n\t<li>\n\t\t<p>Log in to <a href=\"https:\/\/pro.coinbase.com\/\">pro.coinbase.com<\/a> if you are a TT Crypto user, or <a href=\"https:\/\/prime.coinbase.com\/\">prime.coinbase.com<\/a> if you are a trading firm user.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> If you are creating an API key for the Coinbase &#8220;test&#8221; environment as a TT Crypto user, \n\t\t\tlog in to <a href=\"https:\/\/public.sandbox.pro.coinbase.com\/\">public.sandbox.pro.coinbase.com\/<\/a> . If you are a trading firm (instituional) user, log in to <a href=\"https:\/\/public.sandbox.prime.coinbase.com\/\">https:\/\/public.sandbox.prime.coinbase.com\/<\/a> to create an API key for the test (Simulation) environment.<\/p>\n\n\t<\/li>\n\n\t<li>Click the <b>API<\/b> tab.<\/li>\n\n\t<li>Click the <b>API SETTINGS<\/b> tab.<\/li>\n\n\t<li>Click <b>+New API Key<\/b>.<\/li>\n\n\t<p><\/p><p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"img-responsive\" src=\"https:\/\/library-staging.tradingtechnologies.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/cb-coinbase-new-api-key-scaled.png\"> \n\t<\/p>\n\n\t<li>Repeat this step to create additional API keys and secrets for the same Coinbase account if needed.<\/li>\n\t\n\t<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> If you do not have administrator permissions in the Setup application on TT, then provide your Risk or Operations Administrator with your API key, API secret, and passphrase.
